How to Download Twitter/X Videos on PC (Windows & Mac)
Learn how to download Twitter/X videos on Windows or Mac. Copy the tweet link, parse it with TwitterXZ in your browser, and save the video in minutes.
On Windows or Mac, use TwitterXZ in a browser to parse a public post and save an available video file. No desktop app or extension is required. This guide focuses on the browser saving step.
1. Copy and parse the post link
Choose Copy link from the original post's share menu. Use the individual post URL containing /status/ and its numeric ID, rather than the account profile. Open TwitterXZ, paste the link and submit it. Only download content you are entitled to save.
2. Select an available file
Choose an option in the corresponding video card. A label such as 1280 × 720 shows confirmed dimensions; File 1 means dimensions are unknown. Bitrate, size and list position do not guarantee 1080p. Read the quality guide for help comparing files.
3. Open the media, then save through your browser
Click Open video to save. The video opens in a new tab. Playback first is normal; downloading may not start automatically.
In Chrome, Edge or Firefox, check the player menu for downloading, or right-click for Save video as. In Safari, check the player, context menu or browser menu for available actions. Options vary by version and media resource. If your browser offers no saving action, try another mainstream browser.
Confirm the destination and wait for the download to finish. On Windows, find it in File Explorer; on Mac, use Finder. Unless you changed the destination, it is usually in Downloads. Your browser's download history can also locate it. Open the local file to check the content, clarity and sound.
Why does parsing work while saving fails?
Parsing a post and accessing the media are separate steps. If the media will not open, check network access to the resource. If saving fails, check download permissions and free disk space, or parse again and open the new result. A successful parse does not mean a file has been saved.
What about protected, deleted or video-free posts?
The tool is intended for publicly accessible video posts and does not bypass private accounts or access restrictions. Deleted posts, posts without video or temporary service problems may return no result. Copy the link again or retry later; success is not guaranteed for every post.
See the complete tutorial for interface examples. Repeat the steps for other posts as needed; availability depends on the network and parsing service.
